Girls and Guns and School

Posted: January 20, 2009 in Uncategorized

I don’t get mad that much, but this story made me really mad.  Mad at the fact that there is a place where girls still have risk their lives to go to school.  It also made me glad.   Glad that that we’re working to make a way for the least likely candidates to receive the treasure of a college education.

Happy Inauguration Day,

  1. I don’t think we realize what it is like to live in these countries that are in war and have been for generations. I remember living thru the Biafran war and the fear it brought but I was a spectator and although it affected me surroundings it didn’t affect my family personally. There is no way to understand unless you live it BUT we need to allow ourselves to identify with those that are in need. Thanks to everyone who prays and gives to help those in need!!!

  2. Sarah says:

That is really awful! We truely don’t realize how blessed this country is. And those Taliban don’t realize how wonderful their country will be when full of educated women!

  3. Tracy says:

ok..beware…this comment is totally, mostly not in line with your blog. Did you know Esther was an ORPHAN.. Yes, I knew this but I didn’t realize it until Mrs. Beth Moore brought it to my attention. Her discription had me crying all night! So, I’ve fallen off the face of the earth when it comes to being in contact with you and Amani….circumstances horribly beyond my control! I’d like to connect some time:)
    Love ya!

I love passionate women and I love all your comments! Tracy – I actually went to the Esther study yesterday morning and because of my inauguration obsession I got there RIGHT when she was talking about Esther’s orphan-status and i wanted to cry. Yes, please let’s get together…I would love that.
